  • We always provide a free 15-minute consultation before starting. Reach out and please ask any questions and talk about topics you'd like to discuss during therapy. This helps us to better understand your needs. It's also a chance for you to learn about our approach and personality. We believe this initial call sets the groundwork for a strong connection.

  • Individual therapy is offered to children, teens, and adults. Typically they are 55-minute sessions scheduled weekly. Being seen weekly helps in forming a strong bond with your therapist, encourages teamwork, and propels progress towards your goals.

Requests for family sessions are welcome at any time during treatment, with monthly sessions often recommended.

  • We are excited to say we are in the process of creating a parent group to begin this Spring. If you are interested, complete the survey at the following link Parent survey.

We hope to be able to offer additional groups for kids and teens soon!

  • Our virtual sessions are offered Monday-Friday for all treatment types. This service is available to residents of both PA and DE. Reach out to us to discuss our telehealth and hybrid models of treatment.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used therapeutic approach that helps individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In CBT, clients work with a therapist to identify negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to difficult emotions and behaviors. By challenging and changing these patterns, individuals can learn new ways of thinking and behaving that promote healthier mental well-being. CBT is typically a short-term, goal-oriented therapy that equips clients with practical skills to manage challenges. This collaborative process empowers individuals to develop effective coping strategies and improve their overall quality of life.

  • Play therapy is a form of therapy that utilizes play to help individuals, especially children, express their thoughts and emotions. It enables individuals to communicate their experiences and feelings in a language they understand best – play. In a safe and supportive environment, a trained therapist observes the child engaging in play to gain insights into their world, experiences, and struggles. Through various toys, games, and activities, the therapist helps the child work through challenges, develop coping strategies, and build important skills. The goal of play therapy is to promote healthy development, improve communication, enhance self-esteem, and address emotional issues. It is a powerful approach that allows individuals to process their feelings and experiences in a natural and non-threatening way.

  • Art therapy is a form of mental health treatment that utilizes the creative process of making art to improve and enhance mental, and emotional well-being. This therapeutic approach encourages self-expression and exploration of emotions, thoughts, and experiences through various art forms. Through the art-making process, individuals can gain insights into their feelings, behaviors, and struggles in a non-verbal way. This can be particularly beneficial for those who find it challenging to express themselves through words alone. By tapping into the creative process, individuals can uncover new perspectives, develop coping skills, and find a sense of empowerment and self-compassion along their healing journey.

  • Trauma therapy is a specialized form of therapy that focuses on helping individuals heal from past traumatic experiences. These experiences can include but are not limited to physical, emotional, or psychological trauma. Trauma therapy aims to help individuals process their emotions, reduce symptoms of trauma such as anxiety and flashbacks, and develop coping mechanisms to better navigate their daily lives. Trauma therapists are trained to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their trauma, learn healthy ways to cope, and ultimately regain a sense of control and empowerment in their lives.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that combines standard cognitive-behavioral techniques with concepts of distress tolerance, acceptance, and mindfulness. DBT is often used to treat individuals with chronic suicidal thoughts, self-harm behaviors, borderline personality disorder, and other mood disorders. The therapy aims to help individuals build skills in emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, and distress tolerance. DBT is typically conducted in both individual therapy sessions and skills training groups, offering a comprehensive approach to addressing emotional dysregulation and improving overall quality of life
